ONE CAPTURE. ONE LESS WAY HOME.

Copper Islands

Clobber · A game of disappearing connections

You are Copper ●. Make the last capture to win.

Select a copper stone, then an adjacent teal stone to replace it. Your old square becomes a permanent hole. You cannot move into holes.

Why fewer moves can be better

Every turn must capture an orthogonally adjacent enemy. There are no diagonal moves, jumps, passes or placements. Once neither color can reach an isolated group, those pieces will never move again. Keep a final contested pair available when your rival runs out of options.

The player with no legal capture loses, even if they have more stones. The full table starts with eighteen of each color. Smaller tables are practice variants; the odd table gives Copper one extra starting stone.
